Job Overview

The Role of Category Manager Subcontracting involves overseeing procurement activities for the Subcontracting category, supporting delivery of the Category Plan, engaging with suppliers regularly, and operational engagement. The job requires managing procurement activities 'end to end' with key stakeholder management to ensure successful implementation of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage procurement activities 'end to end' with key stakeholder management to ensure successful implementation of projects
  • Compile analytical data and solutions to inform potential project saving strategies
  • Execute the tendering and negotiation of designated products & services in a timely manner to deliver savings
  • Develop and deliver the Subco Category Plan, including targets for savings, supplier consolidation, decarbonisation, payment term improvement
  • Foster good relationships with operational representatives
  • Meet with suppliers to discuss performance to ISS's criteria to drive service excellence and continuous improvement across the portfolio
Requirements:
  • Commercial procurement experience working in a matrix organisation
  • Leading projects or transitions with large matrix cross-functional teams
  • Implemented an end-to-end subcontracting category from idea inception to award and supplier transition
  • Experience with procurement methodologies to drive cost savings
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical skills, verbal and numeric reasoning
  • Able to effectively dissect information and identify key issues and opportunities
  • Effectively prioritises and meets deadlines
  • Able to deal with multiple issues, pressures and deadlines concurrently
