Job Title: Category Management Leader

This role requires a seasoned professional to lead the development and execution of category strategies, drive commercial outcomes, and build strategic partnerships with suppliers.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, driving strategic sourcing projects, and developing negotiation strategies. They will also monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings while ensuring governance, compliance, and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and management of category and contract strategies.
  • Develop and implement forward-thinking initiatives, including supplier consolidation and category management plans.
  • Drive strategic sourcing projects, ensuring best practice procurement and value for money.
  • Build, manage, and enhance supplier relationships to drive innovation and performance.
  • Develops negotiation strategies and leads commercial negotiations.
  • Monitor supplier performance and nurture long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities while ensuring governance, compliance, and sustainability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in category management, procurement, or contract management roles.
  • Strong background in strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at senior levels.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to deliver cost savings and value creation.
  • High attention to detail and analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making.
