Job Summary:
We're seeking a motivated Contracts Administrator / Junior Project Manager to join our client's dynamic team. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing multiple projects, gaining a deep understanding of project timelines and budgets. This position is perfect for someone with 1-2 years of contract administration experience who's eager to gain experience in project management, estimating, and design.
Responsibilities:
- Estimating and Take-offs: Determine the materials, labor, and equipment required for various projects.
- Contract Administration: Handle contracts from start to finish, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.
- Project Management: Assist in planning, executing, and closing projects while keeping track of timelines and budgets.
- Design Coordination: Collaborate with the design team to ensure project specifications are met and any issues are quickly resolved.
- Site Coordination: Maintain communication with site managers and subcontractors to ensure projects stay on track.
- Budget Management: Monitor project expenses to ensure they align with the allocated budget.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks early and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Reporting: Prepare regular updates for senior management and stakeholders about project progress and financial performance.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in contract administration, with a strong interest in gaining experience in project management, estimating, and design.
- Education: A degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Tech Skills: Familiar with estimating software (like Bluebeam or CostX) and proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable dealing with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
