
Advanced Manufacturing Specialist

A technically strong and innovative engineer with a passion for product design, automation, and driving complex projects from concept to completion is required. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, highly collaborative organisation where you will play a key role in shaping cutting-edge manufacturing solutions and driving new product development.
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will take ownership of end-to-end engineering projects, from concept design and prototyping through to tooling, automation, and commissioning. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders including production, quality, maintenance, and external suppliers.
Responsibilities- Lead and deliver complex engineering projects from concept through to implementation.
- Design products and systems from first principles, including force/vector analysis, manufacturing feasibility, and automation solutions.
- Manage project timelines, stakeholder communication, and collaboration.
- Represent the engineering department in client meetings and maintain strong external relationships.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Contribute to innovation, R&D, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
We are looking for a self-starter capable of 'blue sky' innovation and strong problem-solving capability.
You will ideally bring:
- A degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline.
- 10+ years' experience in product design and project engineering within the medical device, white goods, automotive, industrial equipment or semiconductor industries.
- Strong background in injection moulding, tooling design, robotics, and automation systems.
- Proven ability to design from first principles and deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience with CAD, MS Project, statistical methods, and GD&T principles.
