Job Overview:

As a global leader in energy storage solutions, our organization optimizes power systems through hardware, software, and lifecycle offerings. Our Quantum energy storage systems address fundamental safety challenges, while our advanced software, GEMS, monitors and controls energy assets at various levels.

We have a global portfolio exceeding 17 GWh, driving the transition to a resilient, 100% renewable grid. We seek an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our dynamic Sales team based in Australia, preferably in Sydney.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Originate new business opportunities and develop a strong pipeline of energy storage projects
  • Lead project sales teams and collaborate with internal stakeholders
  • Secure deal quality by ensuring requirements are understood and accounted for with correct pricing strategies and risk management
  • Lead contract negotiations while ensuring compliance with contract policies and guidelines
  • Promote strategic objectives and value-based selling

The ideal candidate has deep understanding of sales of large and complex energy projects, gained from contributing to closing of large BESS projects while managing project risks. This role will report to the Area Sales Director – MEA.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating and securing utility-scale battery energy storage projects
  • Understanding of the Australian electricity market and business environment
  • Minimum five years of experience in a project sales environment
  • Consultative selling skills, ability to understand customer needs and develop a winning solution
