Your key responsibilities will encompass:

·Formulating, directing, and implementing category strategies, frameworks, and market approaches to enhance value and fulfill stakeholder expectations.

·Evaluating supply markets and arrangements by scrutinizing market trends and opportunities to guide procurement strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives.

·Identifying and mitigating commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, and supply chain risks to safeguard category goals while fostering innovation and improvement opportunities.

·Creating effective sourcing strategies to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes for the category.

·Conducting comprehensive consultations with relevant organizational personnel to pinpoint, assess, and execute category opportunities.

·Leading negotiations on impactful, intricate supply agreements and contract matters to achieve superior category results.

·Offering expert guidance to key stakeholders on all procurement aspects and category management to promote innovative practices and support organizational objectives.

·Establishing performance metrics and evaluation processes to assess and report on procurement activities regarding progress, outcomes, customer satisfaction, and value for money.

·Maintaining extensive knowledge of market and vendor trends to devise strategies that enhance the organization’s market influence and achieve objectives.

·Contributing to a team culture that emphasizes the balance between clinical needs and commercial requirements in delivering outcomes.

·Staying informed on changes to relevant legislative and regulatory compliance requirements within your portfolio.

·Proactively identifying and addressing procurement risks and mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

·Executing additional responsibilities as assigned by the Category Management Lead - Clinical.

Selection Criteria

·Proven experience in leading sourcing initiatives and managing extensive, complex categories or projects within the healthcare sector.

·Demonstrated expertise in developing Clinical Procurement Strategies.

·Experience in crafting various market-facing documents across all procurement categories and activities.

·Ability to evaluate tenders against multifaceted criteria across multiple stages, incorporating Total Cost of Ownership or similar assessments.

·Capability to develop comprehensive Contract Management Plans, KPIs, performance evaluations, governance frameworks, resource allocations, benefits tracking, and reporting for significant projects and procurement categories.

·Adeptness in navigating ambiguous environments to implement changes within your functional area.

·Skill in influencing and driving organizational change.

·Understanding of commerce, financial implications, and risk management within the procurement and supply landscape.
