·Evaluating supply markets and arrangements by scrutinizing market trends, dynamics, and opportunities to guide market strategies and procurement decisions, ensuring alignment with business requirements.

·Identifying and mitigating commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, and supply chain risks to reduce adverse impacts on category objectives while fostering innovation and uncovering improvement opportunities.

·Crafting optimal sourcing strategies to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes for the category.

·Conducting comprehensive consultations with relevant organizational personnel to pinpoint, assess, and implement category opportunities.

·Leading negotiations on high-stakes, complex supply arrangements and contract matters to achieve superior category results.

·Providing expert guidance to key stakeholders on all procurement aspects and category management to promote innovative practices and support the realization of business and policy objectives.

·Establishing performance benchmarks and evaluation processes to assess and report on procurement activities concerning progress, outcomes, customer satisfaction, and value for money, including costs.

·Maintaining extensive knowledge of category market and vendor trends to devise strategies that enhance the organization’s market influence and achieve organizational goals.

·Contributing to the development of a team culture that prioritizes balancing clinical needs with commercial objectives in delivering outcomes.

·Staying informed about changes to all relevant legislative and regulatory compliance requirements pertinent to your portfolio.

·Proactively identifying and addressing procurement risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

·Executing additional responsibilities as assigned by the Category Management Lead - Clinical.

Selection Criteria

·Proven experience in leading sourcing initiatives and managing large, complex categories or projects within the healthcare sector.

·Demonstrated expertise in developing Clinical Procurement Strategies.

·Experience in crafting all types of market-facing documents across various procurement activities.

·Proficiency in evaluating tenders against multiple complex criteria over several stages, incorporating Total Cost of Ownership or similar assessments.

·Ability to create detailed Contract Management Plans, KPIs, performance reviews, governance frameworks, resource allocation, benefits tracking, and reporting for significant projects and procurement categories.

·Capability to navigate an ambiguous environment to implement change within your functional area.

·Skill in influencing and driving change.

·Understanding of commerce, financials, and risk management within the procurement and supply chain landscape.
