Your Key Responsibilities Include:
· Formulating, directing, and implementing category strategies and frameworks that encompass market approaches, procurement analysis, supplier development, contract management, and performance evaluation to enhance value for money and satisfy stakeholder expectations.
· Evaluating supply markets and arrangements by scrutinizing market trends and opportunities to guide procurement strategies and ensure alignment with business requirements.
· Identifying and mitigating commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, and supply chain risks to safeguard category objectives while fostering innovation and improvement opportunities.
· Crafting effective sourcing strategies to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes for the category.
· Engaging in comprehensive consultations with relevant organizational personnel to pinpoint, assess, and implement category opportunities.
· Leading negotiations on significant, intricate supply arrangements and contract matters to achieve superior category results.
· Offering expert guidance to key stakeholders on all procurement aspects and category management to promote innovative practices and support the realization of business and policy objectives.
· Establishing performance benchmarks and evaluation processes to assess and report on procurement activities regarding progress, outcomes, customer satisfaction, and value for money.
· Maintaining extensive knowledge of market and vendor trends to devise strategies that enhance the organization’s market influence and achieve organizational goals.
· Contributing to a team culture that prioritizes the balance between clinical needs and commercial requirements in delivering outcomes.
· Keeping abreast of changes in relevant legislative and regulatory compliance requirements within your portfolio.
· Proactively identifying and addressing procurement risks and mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
· Performing additional duties as assigned by the Category Management Lead - Clinical.

Selection Criteria:
· Proven experience in leading sourcing initiatives and managing large, complex categories or projects within the healthcare sector.
· Demonstrated expertise in developing Clinical Procurement Strategies.
· Proficient in creating all types of market-facing documents across various procurement activities.
· Experience in evaluating tenders against multiple complex criteria across several stages, including Total Cost of Ownership calculations.
· Ability to formulate detailed Contract Management Plans, KPIs, performance reviews, governance structures, resource allocation, benefits tracking, and reporting for significant projects and procurement categories.
· Capability to navigate an ambiguous environment to implement changes within your functional area.
· Strong ability to influence and drive change.
· Understanding of commerce, financials, and risk management within the procurement and supply chain landscape.
