Emergency Services Volunteer

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Emergency Services team as Disaster Response Volunteers. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting our communities before, during, and after emergencies.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in disaster response and recovery.
- Contribute to community preparedness and response efforts, including supporting individuals and communities affected by emergencies.
- Collaborate with our team to provide psychosocial support, training programs, and community development services.
- Engage in preparedness, response, and recovery activities, including participation in community events and meetings.
- Upfront training in Psychological First Aid Skills (5-hour webinar or 1 day face-to-face)
- Mandatory e-learning modules (x10) – duration approximately 9 hours
- Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
- Ability to work in teams and maintain skills and knowledge
- Computer literacy is required
- Opportunities to develop skills that allow you to provide psychosocial support, training programs, and community development services
- Experience working in a team environment and contributing to community preparedness and response efforts
- Training and ongoing support to enhance your skills and knowledge in disaster response and recovery
