About the Role
The Event Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and delivering a range of events, offering full in-house event management service.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with relevant local organising and scientific program committees to provide a full in-house event management service for identified events annually, including budgets, venue, program development, marketing, registration, speaker management, conference materials (including apps), accommodation, social programs, support and exhibition, and evaluation.
- Developing robust event programs in conjunction with relevant committees to meet members' continuing professional development needs.
- Building and maintaining online systems for registrations, abstract submissions and reviews, certification, and event reports.
- Monitoring all key milestones relating to allocated events and providing regular status updates.
- Providing full onsite coordination and management of allocated events.
- Preparing event planning documents, and providing other relevant reports, including evaluation, financial outcomes and recommendations.
- Developing and executing tailored and innovative marketing strategies and preparing a broad range of marketing and communications materials.
- Working closely with partner organisations on jointly hosted events and developing memorandums of understanding as required.
- Reviewing contracts, liaising with suppliers regarding contractual requirements and deliverables.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience working within an Association or Membership Body with a background coordinating events and conferences.
Experience using and managing events with EventsAIR is essential for this role.
You will need:
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
- High level verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing priorities.
- The ability to build productive relationships with relevant committees, suppliers and key business partners.
- A high level of understanding and skills in using relevant computer applications, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheets, and EventsAIR.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to undertake work autonomously.
- Willingness to travel interstate (and potentially internationally).
