About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Casual Chef to join our Hospitality Team at LDK Seniors' Living. As a Casual Chef, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality food and exceptional customer service to our residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in cooking a range of meals, including buffets and à la carte dishes
  • Portion, present, and serve food to our residents and customers, ensuring a high standard of presentation and quality
  • Prepare food items such as sandwiches, salads, and other menu items, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to resident and guest needs in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Assist in the maintenance of stock levels, ordering supplies as needed, and ensuring accurate inventory management
Requirements
  • Cert III in Commercial Cookery or a higher hospitality qualification
  • Food Safety Certification (required)
  • Proven experience in a commercial kitchen environment, with a strong track record of providing high-quality food and exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong focus on communication and collaboration
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends
