Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement menus, estimate food and labor costs, and oversee food supply ordering.
- Ensure the highest quality control and presentation of dishes, meeting our standards and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with management, dietitians, and kitchen staff to discuss food preparation issues and improve our culinary offerings.
- Train and mentor junior staff members, sharing expertise and best practices.
- Prepare and cook food to the highest standards, adhering to our hygiene and safety protocols.
- Enforce and promote hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Recruit, motivate, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team culture.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including inventory management, budgeting, and supply ordering.
- Develop a vision for our cuisine, inspiring our team and driving culinary innovation.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in a senior culinary role.
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and OH&S standards.
- Professional presentation and approach.
- Passion for food and commitment to excellence.
- Ability to work closely with management to ensure high-quality service.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
- Innovative and organized, with a basic knowledge of Italian cuisine and dishes.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $73,150.00 per year.
