About the Role

Mimi's Pantry, a renowned Mediterranean cuisine restaurant in Australia, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols, and ensuring seamless communication with the rest of the team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items to the highest standards, using a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with the head chef to develop new menu ideas and improve existing dishes.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
  • Ensure compliance with nutrition and sanitation regulations, as well as safety standards.

Requirements:

  • At least a Certificate IV in Hospitality or 3 years' relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
