Main Responsibilities

Mimi's Pantry, operated by JAD Australia Pty Ltd, seeks a skilled and experienced chef to join its team in the busy kitchen of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest quality of food production and service, adhering to menu guidelines, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

Key Duties:

  • Maintain the production and service of good quality food in accordance with menu guidelines.
  • Receive and account for supplies and deliveries in accordance with the restaurant's guidelines.
  • Adhere to hygienic food handling procedures and safe work practices.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all kitchen and food storage areas.
  • Assist with supporting and cross-training new kitchen team members.
  • Prepare food for service, cook menu items, and clean up stations.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Hospitality or at least 3 years' relevant experience.
  • Verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work rotating shift work, covering 7 days and day/night shifts.

Salary: Salary commensurate with experience, paid $75,000 plus superannuation.
