Job Title: Facilities Manager

The role of a facilities manager is crucial in ensuring the optimal functionality, safety, and appearance of our facilities across multiple locations.

About the Job

This senior position oversees day-to-day operations, develops maintenance schedules, and ensures compliance with health, safety, and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Operations:
    • Oversight of daily facility management to guarantee optimal performance, safety, and aesthetics.
    • Development and implementation of preventive and reactive maintenance schedules for buildings, plant, equipment, and infrastructure.
    • Maintenance of facilities that meet relevant health and safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
  • Contractor Management:
    • Sourcing, negotiating, and managing service contracts for cleaning, security, building maintenance, waste management, and utilities.
    • Monitoring contractor performance to ensure works are completed to standard, on time, and within budget.
  • Capital Works:
    • Planning and oversight of facility upgrades, refurbishments, and relocations.
    • Preparation of business cases, budgets, and project timelines for capital works.
    • Liaison with internal stakeholders to ensure projects align with operational needs.
  • Budget and Asset Management:
    • Development and management of annual facilities budgets across all sites.
    • Tracking and reporting on expenditure, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
    • Maintenance of accurate asset registers and lifecycle management strategies.
  • Risk Management:
    • Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety legislation.
    • Conducting regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
    • Oversight of emergency preparedness and business continuity measures.
  • Sustainability:
    • Promoting energy efficiency, waste reduction, and other sustainability initiatives.
    • Identifying opportunities for process and systems improvements in facilities management.
