Job Title

This role supports the delivery of Equinix's Global Energy and Sustainability strategy in APAC.

The position is part of the team leading the Global Energy Procurement and Sustainability program, working globally with other project teams and stakeholders to provide strategic support and leadership.

The role involves collaborating with teams and consultants across various countries and time zones. Occasional travel (10-20% of the time) is expected, both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage key energy and renewable energy workstreams, including offsite PPAs, onsite PPAs, environmental commodities, and distributed energy technologies.
  • Provide analytical support for assessing renewable energy PPA opportunities and performing market analysis of sustainability products.
  • Manage consultant relationships and coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain necessary buy-in and approvals.
  • Negotiate complex renewable energy agreements with internal and external counsel.
  • Develop marketing material and presentations for distribution to sales teams, executive leadership, and customers.
  • Support the development and management of a renewable energy procurement strategy to meet long-term corporate sustainability objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline required.
  • 5+ years of experience in renewable energy, preferably in procurement, origination, or project management.
  • Knowledge of offsite and onsite PPAs, environmental commodities, carbon offsets, batteries, and fuel cells.
  • Experience negotiating complex agreements with internal and external legal counsel.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with local and international teams.
