About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Grants Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will have excellent research and writing skills, with experience in grant applications and stakeholder relationships.
The role involves working across multiple directorates, conducting research, writing compelling grant applications, identifying community projects eligible for grants, developing key stakeholder relationships, securing funding for community projects, and managing grants.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and identify potential grant opportunities
- Write compelling grant applications and submit them on time
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, statutory authorities, and community groups
- Manage grants from initial application to completion
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- A minimum Certificate III in Business Administration or related discipline
- Extensive experience in a similar role as a successful Grants Officer
- A current and valid class C driver's licence
- Demonstrated understanding of cost benefits analysis, value for money, project management, and other details required within well-structured and supported grant applications
- Proven exceptional writing and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage time, set priorities, plan, and organize one's work to achieve set objectives efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and apply analytical skills to solve problems, improve methods, and productivity
