Senior Nursing Manager Opportunity

The role of Senior Nursing Manager is a key leadership position, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care in an acute care facility. The successful applicant will have a strong background in nursing management, with expertise in leading and developing teams to achieve excellent patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate the nursing and multidisciplinary care team in the Emergency Department.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow, reduce wait times, and enhance overall patient experience.
  • Collaborate with medical and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Monitor and manage ward resources, including staffing, supplies, and equipment.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, promoting professional development and growth.

Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the management and delivery of health care services.
  • Proven ability in innovative clinical service delivery, harm minimisation, and practice development.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills that demonstrate the ability to engage, enable, and manage teams.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture and articulate and achieve a vision for nursing services.
  • Demonstrated nursing management experience in an acute care facility in the specialty field.
