
Care Coordinator Role

The role of Senior Nursing Manager is a key leadership position, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care in an acute care facility. The successful applicant will have a strong background in nursing management, with expertise in leading and developing teams to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the nursing and multidisciplinary care team in the Emergency Department.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow, reduce wait times, and enhance overall patient experience.
- Collaborate with medical and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Monitor and manage ward resources, including staffing, supplies, and equipment.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, promoting professional development and growth.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the management and delivery of health care services.
- Proven ability in innovative clinical service delivery, harm minimisation, and practice development.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills that demonstrate the ability to engage, enable, and manage teams.
- Proven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture and articulate and achieve a vision for nursing services.
- Demonstrated nursing management experience in an acute care facility in the specialty field.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
