Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Brewing Assistant to join our team. As a Brewing Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing the brewing process, working closely with our Brewery Operations Manager and other team members to ensure the production of high-quality beers.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, a passion for brewing, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Oversee and execute the brewing process, including wort production on a 1hl Braumeister single vessel system
  • Mill malt and specialty malt as required
  • Run CIP on different brewery equipment
  • Conduct quality control testing in all areas of brewing
  • Keep accurate records of brewing processes, ingredients, and inventory
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or operational issues that arise during the brewing process
  • Maintain stock levels of raw materials and assist with ordering supplies as necessary
  • Participate in brewery events, promotions, and tastings to represent the brand and engage with the local beer community

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Professional brewing experience
  • A strong understanding of brewing science, processes, and equipment
  • The ability to work independently
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Physical fitness to work in all areas of a brewing facility

Preferred Qualifications

A formal brewing education or certification is a plus, as well as knowledge of safety protocols including safe chemical handling.
