About our Fire and Emergency Services

Our mission is to support the community in preventing, preparing for, responding to, and recovering from fire and emergency events.

As a department, we encompass fire and rescue services, disaster management services, the rural fire service, and the state emergency service, supporting other volunteer groups providing emergency response to the public.

Role Purpose

We commit to enhancing health, safety, and wellbeing as an integral part of our daily operations.

Reporting to Regional Senior Management, you will work closely with managers, staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes from our safety, wellbeing, and injury management practices and initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

You will be responsible for coordinating safety and wellbeing activities, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, providing advice and support, and facilitating incident and accident investigations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Highly desirable requirements: Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety; experience and/or qualifications in workplace investigation.
