Workforce Development Specialist

In this position, you will be instrumental in developing strategies to equip learners with digital skills for a rapidly changing technological future.

You will make a significant impact by:

  • Preparing comprehensive reports, submissions, briefing notes, and written material related to VET-regulatory and policy issues;
  • Undertaking qualitative, quantitative, and desktop research to inform evidence-based submissions and materials;
  • Reviewing and interpreting data, identifying trends, and drawing insights to shape submissions and reports;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop well-researched policy briefs, position papers, and deliverables;
  • Contributing to strategic planning and decision-making processes with data-driven insights and recommendations;
  • Finesse presentations and documents for internal and external audiences, maintaining branding and look-and-feel;
  • Providing specialist advice to support policy and research-related representations made by the organisation.

Key Selection Criteria Include:

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare complex written material to a high standard;
  • Research and analysis of complex public policy issues, including statistical information and other sources;
  • Verbal presentation of complex findings and recommendations;
  • Prioritising tasks and meeting competing deadlines;
  • Professional interaction with diverse stakeholders;
  • Experience in complex environments;
  • Collaborative and values-based mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in VET, workforce development, or Finance, Technology, or Business sectors;
  • Understanding of industry and employee organisations, knowledge of interdependencies and complexities;
  • Experience with Asana, HubSpot, and Adobe.
