Psychological Support Specialist

This role requires a highly skilled professional to deliver high-quality support services during critical incidents or organisational change. The successful candidate will be able to provide expert psychological support and advice, drawing on their extensive experience in trauma management and consultancy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide rapid response services including critical incidents, planned support, rapid connect, disaster response and incident support forums.
  • Apply primary intervention models such as stepped care and referral pathways.
  • Support client organisations during incidents or organisational change and identify themes, recommendations or internal process improvements.
  • Deliver triage, one-on-one trauma support and group sessions; may deliver employee assistance programs and training/consulting services.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Registered Psychologist or Social Worker with relevant clinical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years trauma management and/or relevant consultancy experience.
  • Experience in psychosocial interventions, support and counselling; ability to assess workplace issues and provide solution-focused advice to achieve outcomes.
  • Excellent time management, report writing and a proactive attitude.
  • Experience in delivering people assist services (EAP, RRS).
  • High-level negotiation and facilitation skills; ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders.
  • Desire to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment and passion for helping people.
