Payroll Administrator Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Payroll Administrator where you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of payroll services.

  • Job Description: The successful candidate will perform payroll processing activities, monitor and resolve issues within the time and attendance system, administer payroll on-costs including superannuation and payroll tax, and provide clear and accurate advice to employees and managers on payroll matters.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform end-to-end payroll processing activities, ensuring accurate data input of timesheets, leave, allowances, deductions, and other entitlements.
  • Monitor and resolve issues within the time and attendance system, including adjusting workflows and escalating matters where appropriate.
  • Administer payroll on-costs including superannuation and payroll tax, while applying a sound understanding of legislative and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure payroll processes align with internal policies, enterprise agreements, relevant legislation, and compliance obligations.
  • Provide clear and accurate advice to employees and managers on payroll matters such as salaries, entitlements, and leave accruals.
About You
  • You are an experienced payroll professional with a commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused services.
  • Proven expertise in payroll administration, including use of payroll and time and attendance systems, and a strong record of delivering accurate and timely results with minimal supervision.
  • A solid understanding of payroll on-costs, superannuation, and payroll tax, with demonstrated ability to apply relevant legislation and compliance standards in practice.
  • A collaborative approach to working in a team, with a focus on knowledge sharing, peer support, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and provide confidential, client-focused service.
  • Advanced computer literacy, particularly in data analysis and using payroll systems to extract data, maintain accuracy, and support decision-making.

  • Maintenance of the timekeeping systems are proactively resolved, with clear communication to staff.
