Maintenance Technician Role Overview

This position offers an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering team and play a vital role in maintaining the property's rooms and facilities.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring guest safety, comfort, and seamless operations by completing work orders as requested by the Chief Engineer.

You will also initiate/identify project work required throughout the hotel, implement and action the preventative maintenance program, and demonstrate flexibility in changing the work schedule in light of guest priorities.

Additional responsibilities include carrying out general building minor maintenance repairs, responding to requests from departments regarding minor maintenance issues throughout the day, and prioritizing safety by following guidelines, reporting any incidents, hazardous conditions, or faulty equipment to your supervisor.

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in general building maintenance or engineering with experience in a hotel setting preferred.
  • Problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and schematics.
  • Good communication skills for dealing with guests or hotel staff.
