We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Maintenance and Operations Professional. This role offers the opportunity to oversee the maintenance and operation of building services, ensuring that assets are maintained in good condition, utilized efficiently, and serviced in accordance with statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in facilities management, with a strong administrative and technical background. They will be able to demonstrate experience in high-volume roles with conflicting priorities, negotiating and enforcing contracts, and understanding Australian Standards, NCC, HSE, DDA, and other risk management issues.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Approving work orders, tax invoices, and contracts within delegated authority.
  2. Demonstrating operational expenditure budget against forecast.
  3. Maintaining compliance with Mirvac's Quality Management System.
  4. Advising on maintenance and operational issues affecting the normal operation of the building and operating budget.
  5. Responding to after-hours calls as required.
  6. Maintaining asset registers and preventative maintenance planners.
  7. Maintaining relevant statutory logs and registers.
  8. Managing contractors in accordance with Mirvac policies and procedures.
  9. Monitoring Building Management Control Systems.
  10. Inspecting plant and equipment for operational readiness.
  11. Participating in Operational Healthcheck Proforma (QMS dataroom).
  12. Completing FCR compliance reporting.
  13. Ensuring property areas are presentable at all times.
  14. Responding to information requests from Portfolio Manager, Property Management, or asset services teams.

This is a parental leave cover until July 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of building services, ensuring that assets are maintained in good condition, utilized efficiently, and serviced in accordance with statutory requirements.

Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience in facilities management, typically stemming from a solid administrative and/or technical background.
  • Demonstrated experience in a high-volume role with conflicting priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating and enforcing contracts.
  • Understanding of Australian Standards, NCC, HSE, DDA, and other risk management issues.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good decision-making, influencing, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • A customer- and guest-centric focus with a strong understanding of the local community and trade area.
  • An innovative approach.
  • Knowledge of HSE&S, DDA, and other risk management regulations.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to prioritize and have effective time management skills.
  • A team approach and the willingness to be flexible with duties and working hours.
