Clinical Leadership in Renal Services

The Clinical Nurse Consultant (Grade 2) position plays a pivotal role in the Renal Services department, requiring an expert clinical nurse to oversee pre-transplant care for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored care and expert clinical advice to patients preparing for transplant
  • Educate and empower patients, families, and healthcare professionals through research initiatives and education programs
  • Drive service development and lead specialty education programs to improve patient outcomes
  • Mentor nursing staff and foster a culture of continuous learning
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care

Requirements:

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least 3 years in the specialty field
  • Postgraduate nursing qualifications relevant to the field or other qualifications/experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital/public health organisation
