
Renal Care Specialist

About This Opportunity:
- Relieve maternity cover for approximately 19 months.
- Pursue the development and maintenance of advanced clinical expertise in nephrology, dialysis, and kidney/kidney pancreas transplantation.
- Contribute to research endeavours in renal supportive care.
- Function within a comprehensive integrated nephrological care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with pre-dialysis CKD and CKD (dialysis and transplant).
- Maintain high-level clinical knowledge in nephrology, renal supportive care, dialysis, and kidney/kidney pancreas transplantation through ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and evidence-based best practice initiatives.
Selection Criteria:
- Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent.
- Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge in nephrology, renal supportive care, dialysis, and kidney/kidney pancreas transplantation through successful clinical practice.
- Display exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, and experience in quality assurance activities and evidence-based best practice.
- Show commitment to teaching and supervision, and experience in caring for patients with pre-dialysis CKD and CKD (dialysis and transplant).
