Job Summary

This role is a client-facing position that supports the delivery of housing services and plays a vital part in supporting client-centered services to individuals and families who seek housing assistance or reside in public housing.

The Housing Services Officer will work as part of a network of community workers and organizations that share the responsibility for working with vulnerable people to promote and support their wellbeing. The officer will be based in offices across the state and undertake a range of tasks relating to tenancy and property management and the provision of housing advice and assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Assess clients' needs and provide advice on housing options from established policies, procedures, and standards.">
  • Prepare routine cases with well-established procedures and represent the organization at Victorian Civil Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) hearings.">
  • Apply early intervention strategies to sustain tenancies.">
  • Respond to family violence risk in accordance with Multi Agency Risk Assessment Management (MARAM) guidelines.">
