About the Role

Air Liquide Healthcare Australia is a leading supplier of medical gases, homecare, and sleep services. We specialize in respiratory diseases and have a strong reputation in sleep diagnostics and CPAP therapy.

This position is responsible for providing a Total Gas Service (TGS) to AIR LIQUIDE Healthcare contracted hospitals in the state. The main objective is to ensure the safe and efficient distribution of medical gases to hospitals and their relevant cost centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gas Distribution and Allocation: Coordinate and deliver cylinders to the point of use within contracted hospitals, ensuring accurate records and timely delivery.
  • Cylinder Management: Monitor gas usage, replace cylinders on gas manifolds as required, and maintain stock levels of cylinder and related equipment in hospital wards and gas storage areas.
  • Customer Education: Educate hospital staff on safe gas handling and storage, and provide training on operational and safety procedures for compressed gas and gas-related products.
  • Quality and Safety: Comply with ALH Company policies and procedures, MSDS instructions, and other safety instructions provided by the direct Manager. Participate in safety initiatives for the hospital and liaise with hospital staff on safety-related and OH&S issues.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with the Medical Gas and Hospital Services Coordinator, report outcomes to customer service, and work with the Coordinator to ensure adequate resources are available to provide a quality total gas service.
Requirements
  • Safety Focus: Prioritize safety and hygiene in all aspects of the role.
  • Computer Literacy: Demonstrate proficiency in using computer systems, including Gmail.
  • Problem-Solving: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to solve practical problems and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to educate hospital staff and provide customer service.
  • Physical Demands: Be reasonably fit to move and pick up gas cylinders weighing up to 15kg.
