Job Title

A mentor is required to assist disadvantaged parents in preparing for their return to the workforce.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Identify individual education and employment goals with customers
    • Provide career advice and labour market information on local opportunities
    • Collaboratively identify strategies to meet individual needs using a holistic approach
    • Engage with the local community to build relationships and coordinate referrals
    • Assist customers apply for jobs, develop and tailor CVs, prepare for interviews, understand employer expectations, and build employability skills
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
    • Ability to build relationships within the community
    • Strong interpersonal communication and organisational skills
    • An empathetic approach and ability to build trust and rapport
    • Effective problem-solving skills
    • Working with Vulnerable People Check
    • Current driver's license
