The Role- Establish and maintain effective relationships with freight providers to secure competitive rates and service levels.
- Develop and execute comprehensive transportation procurement plans to meet business needs and optimize costs.
- Manage and administer service agreements and operational procedures with freight providers to ensure compliance with company expectations and relevant regulations.
- Provide expert advice on road, rail, or alternate domestic freight inquiries to support informed decision-making.
- Monitor delivery requirements to ensure they conform to our company's standards.
- Coordinate and assist in maintaining accurate records for efficient operations.
- Identify and resolve quality problems to achieve long-term benefits for the company.
- A recent graduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field with experience or exposure to logistics and freight environments.
- Understanding of Compliance of Loads (CoR) and Fatigue Management principles is desirable.
- Knowledge of Load Restraint and Dangerous Goods Regulatory Handling and Storage legislation is also desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with data analysis and report building experience.
- Negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
