Job Opportunity:

Freight Operations Specialist

The role of Freight Operations Specialist involves the operation of specialized civil trucks for road maintenance and asphalt works. This includes preparing and operating trucks and associated plant/equipment, conducting daily mechanical and safety checks, routine maintenance, performing manual handling and general laboring tasks, accurately completing record-keeping using mobile devices and applications, and responding to customer requests and participating in emergency and community event preparations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a range of civil trucks for road maintenance and asphalt works.
  • Prepare and operate trucks and associated equipment ensuring optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular mechanical and safety inspections on fleet vehicles.
  • Perform manual handling tasks and participate in general laboring activities.
  • Accurately complete records using mobile devices and applications.
  • Respond to customer requests and participate in emergency and community event preparations.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
  • Considerable experience driving heavy rigid vehicles.
  • Manual handling skills.
  • Operation of small plant and equipment.
  • Experience in general laboring work.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply occupational health and safety and equal employment opportunity principles.
  • General induction training for construction sites.
