We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead our central business development function, securing and retaining key business in Australia.
This role involves initiating, coordinating, and developing strategic and high-value funding proposals targeted mainly at Commonwealth, State, and Territory governments.
- Driving strategic planning and revenue generation, and supporting partnership development
- Facilitating robust decision-making with senior leaders, executives, and the board
- Paying attention to the full business development lifecycle from capture and retention planning to monitoring win rates and evaluating return on investment
- Supporting and coaching bid writers
Key responsibilities include driving strategic planning and revenue generation, facilitating robust decision-making, paying attention to the business development lifecycle, and supporting and coaching bid writers.
Required Skills and QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have experience in high-value funding acquisition, ideally in the Australian children and family services sector or similar. They should also possess a strong ability to support strategic planning and positioning, as well as partnership development, in line with strategic objectives.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field would be beneficial, along with a foundation or practitioner certification to the Association of Proposal Management Professionals.
