Job Summary

Job Description:

The Regulation Compliance Officer will provide guidance oversight and advice on responding to reportable allegations within the team and office.

This involves managing a diverse caseload and consulting with external stakeholders to deliver information guidance and training. The officer will apply analytical thinking and professional judgment to assess notifications and investigations making sound recommendations to the Independent Regulator and Executive Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance support and oversight to the team and office in relation to reportable allegations.
  • Manage and maintain a diverse caseload of matters consult with external stakeholders deliver information guidance and training as required.
  • Apply analytical thinking professional judgment and expertise to assess investigate and resolve notifications and reports.
  • Make informed recommendations to the Executive Group regarding actions and responses to notifications and reports.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve processes procedures and policies related to the role.

Requirements:

  • A valid Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (employment).
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in administrative law or investigation conduct are desirable but not essential.

  • Arson and fire setting violent crimes sex-related offences and other relevant disciplinary actions will be assessed during the recruitment process.
  • Identification check will be performed.
