Become a Compliance Officer with a reputable organisation on a permanent, full-time basis.

An established and well-recognised player within its market, this company enjoys an enviable reputation and has experienced significant growth in recent years.

This growth has led to the requirement for a Compliance Specialist to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Based in the Hobart CBD, and reporting into the Compliance Manager, you'll be responsible for monitoring, reviewing and supporting compliance activities, with a focus on managing regulatory compliance risk.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing regular opinions/recommendations on the state of compliance across processes, systems and initiatives.
  • Supporting the identification of controls and assurance across compliance obligations.
  • Assisting with Dispute Resolution, including providing advice to stakeholders.
  • Acting as a regulatory compliance SME on broader business projects.
  • Preparing dashboards for stakeholders on the status of controls across the entity.
  • Contribute to developing and reviewing/testing business compliance controls.
  • Assisting with the review and maintenance of key compliance registers.

You will need to be a self-starter, degree qualified in Law, Commerce or a relevant discipline, with strong experience in compliance management in financial services.

Strong people skills are essential, enabling you to work effectively with various stakeholders across the business.

Key Qualifications: Degree qualified in Law, Commerce or a relevant discipline. 5+ years' experience in compliance management in financial services.
