Data Centre Project Manager

With highly qualified employees across 20+ locations in Australia and New Zealand, we provide excellent technical know-how in design, installation, and maintenance, with a unique combination of skills in Mechanical, Fire Protection, AV, and Electrical and Communications Services.
The OpportunityThe successful candidate will be driving new business and growing the Equans Data Centre division with the full support of the Equans Electrical and Communications business. In this role, the incumbent will have the full backing and professional support of our well-established project team in our Fairfield office.
This is an opportunity for you to step into a data centre delivery role, where you can build your own team and vision for the Equans Data Centre business. Equans are looking for someone with the drive and ambition to grow the data centre business within Equans from inception to success, with an initial focus on small project works (e.g., hall fit outs, etc.) valued between $10k & $1m, all with a view to growing over time to provide our clients with a significantly larger data centre offering.

- You work in an operational capacity, in a supervisor, estimator, or project manager role.
- You have management experience or are ready to take that step up into a project management role.

- You hold an A-grade licensed electrician qualification.
- You have open cabling registration (with structured endorsements) preferred.
- You have previous experience working as a supervisor, estimator, or project manager.
- You have previous work in a delivery role and people leadership experience required.
- You have familiarity with data centre infrastructure, including communications and power reticulation and distribution, grounding data hall configurations, and rack layout and labelling systems.
- You have a strong understanding of electrical codes and standards, including NEC (National Electrical Code), Australian Standards, and local regulations.
