Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Perioperative Anaesthesia Leader. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer, you will provide high-quality anaesthetic services and lead the Anaesthetics Department.
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert anaesthetic care for theatre cases and contribute to acute pain management strategies.
- Supervise and mentor registrars, trainees, and interns within the Anaesthetics Department.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve seamless care delivery.
Requirements
Hold FANZCA qualification and possess at least 5 years of experience in leading a team of anaesthetists.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
The successful applicant will be expected to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, applying theoretical knowledge and clinical expertise to diagnose, investigate, and treat patients.
The department offers a Preadmission Clinic, Acute Pain Service, and access to a wide range of anaesthetic experiences.
The facility features modern facilities, including a cardiac catheterisation laboratory, Emergency Department, endoscopy suites, and inpatient units.
