Virtual Health Clinician Opportunity

This is a vital role in supporting Australians with their health concerns through the Healthdirect Helpline, also known as Nurse-on-Call in Victoria.

  • Providing health information and assessing symptoms
  • Conducting comprehensive telephone assessments
  • Recommending the appropriate time and place of care
  • Referring callers to other services such as the GP Helpline, Urgent Care Clinics, and Virtual Emergency Departments
About You:

You are a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse driven by a passion for delivering exceptional virtual care.

  • Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse for a minimum of 3 years
  • At least 3 years of full-time (or equivalent) clinical experience within the last 5 years as a Registered Nurse
  • A varied nursing background involving substantial public contact
  • Confidence in applying critical thinking and clinical judgment in high-pressure situations across all age groups and clinical presentations
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • A high affinity with using computer systems including telehealth platforms databases and digital communication tools
