Healthcare Specialist for Remote Communities

This locum-based role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.
The Northern Territory Remote Locum Program (NTRLP) is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander‑led workforce program dedicated to strengthening healthcare services in remote communities across the Northern Territory.
Job Requirements- Qualification/s and minimum 2 years of haemodialysis nursing experience.
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Current National Criminal History Check (less than 6 months old).
- Unrestricted driver's license (to drive in the NT).
- Up-to-date immunisation status, including COVID-19 (2 doses + 1 booster), Hepatitis A & B, MMR, Varicella, BCG, Influenza, and Pertussis.
- Fully paid locum placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks, based in remote NT communities, with travel and accommodation covered.
- Cultural orientation and 24/7 support to help you transition into remote healthcare.
- Free CPD-accredited eLearning with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
