Job Title: Operating Agent

UGL Defence is seeking an experienced Operating Agent to join our Operations & Maintenance team at the Albury Wodonga Military Area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the safe storage and handling of fuels and fuel-related products, ensuring day-to-day product integrity requirements of the Defence Fuel Installation (DFI), and conducting all required FQC sampling and testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the safe storage and handling of fuels and fuel-related products
  • Ensure day-to-day product integrity requirements of the DFI
  • Conduct all required FQC sampling and testing
  • Administer the implementation of and ongoing compliance of the DFI
  • Perform operational functions within the DFI
  • Responsible for security, environmental, and emergency management of the DFI
  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly reporting for accuracy, investigate deviations
  • Monitor training and competency requirements for DFI Operators to achieve and maintain base compliance
  • Various tasks to maintain facilities and base assets
  • Ensure adequate records are maintained in the system
  • Liaise with Defence personnel, Management, suppliers, and the general public as required
  • Responsible for storage, packaging, and disposal of Dangerous Goods - including hazardous materials
Requirements:
  • Experience relevant to each role above
  • Strong team player, self-starter, and dedicated employee
  • Defence specific training will be advantageous; however, this training will be provided to the successful applicant where required
  • Valid Drivers Licence (HR or HC will be highly regarded)
  • Safety is at the forefront of everything you do
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance
  • Live locally, or willing to relocate to the Albury region
