About the role

In the heart of our operation lies our Response Network, consisting of Sonder Responders who deliver in-person support to our members when they need it most, in coordination with our Support Centre.

Serving and former workers from identified industries are encouraged to apply, as we offer flexibility to maintain a healthy work-life balance with your on-call capacity.

You will be part of a casual workforce as a Sonder Responder, employed on a flexible 24-hour on-call roster. This presents an exciting opportunity for individuals to contribute to building and expanding the network from the ground level.

Your experience in decision-making, response, empathy, and helping others will be crucial to success and satisfaction in this role. You will have the freedom to choose your available hours and receive generous remuneration for both on-call availability and incident responses.

As required, you will assist the Response Network Manager in:

  • Engaging with stakeholders to support business and operational outputs as directed
  • Nurturing partnership relations, engagement, and training
  • Providing input to operational procedures and network management
  • Responding to emergency and non-emergency situations to support the network of responders in your area

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Recent or current experience in Australia within emergency services, military, and/or security-related work
  • A strong network of contacts in the local area
  • High self-awareness, motivation, and self-management
  • Ability to set priorities, act on key issues, and make quick decisions while demonstrating interpersonal sensitivity
  • Flexibility to work a varied, on-call roster

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000, depending on location and experience.
