About the Role

CoreStaff is seeking a highly skilled Project Site Engineer to join our team in Darwin, Northern Territory. As a Project Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure high standards of quality are maintained throughout the project, including the management of the Quality Control System, production of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and compliance with the Project Quality Plan.
  • Document Control: Manage the document control system for the project, including the production and distribution of project documentation.
  • Technical and Quality Issues: Identify and assist with the resolution of technical and quality issues onsite, including the management of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Construction Activities: Assist with the completion of construction activities on schedule, with the aim of achieving no safety or industrial incidents.
  • Communication: Conduct effective and professional communication regarding project matters with all project stakeholders.
  • Site Records: Maintain accurate and high-quality site records, in accordance with DCOH IMS requirements.
  • Contract and Project Documentation: Be conversant with all contract and project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Quality Inspections: Manage and facilitate quality inspections, ensuring the quality of the product is maintained throughout the project.
  • Quality Assurance: Resolve all quality assurance matters raised and ensure corrective actions are undertaken.
  • Reporting: Provide reports and recommendations to the Senior Project Manager on matters concerning the project.
Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities
  • Workplace Health and Safety Act: Ensure that the provisions of the Workplace Health and Safety Act are observed and adhered to.
  • Safety Procedures: Assist with the identification, preparation, and implementation of project Safety procedures.
  • Safety Awareness: Promote safety awareness at every opportunity and lead by example.
  • Safety Training: Assist with identifying safety training requirements.
  • Equipment and Plant: Ensure safe equipment and plant is provided and maintained.
  • Safety Audits: View safety audits and inspection reports and initiate action/rectification where necessary.
  • Subcontractor Compliance: Assist and monitor subcontractor compliance with Project Safety Plan and Procedures.
Environmental Management Responsibilities
  • Environmental Management: Ensure the provisions of Acts under the NT EPA jurisdiction.
  • Environmental Objectives: Assess and adhere to the site objectives and targets for Environmental Management.
  • Hazardous Chemicals: Ensure adequate storage is available for hazardous chemicals and substances.
  • Erosion and Sediment Control: Ensure all erosion and sediment control measures are in place and are managed.
  • Environmental Reports: Action environmental reports and carry out environmental inspections.
  • Hazard Reports: Investigate hazard reports and ensure corrective actions are undertaken.
  • Environmental Issues: Manage the resolution of environmental issues.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualification: A Tertiary Qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Disciplines: Ability to develop knowledge of other engineering/construction disciplines and commercial functions including contract administration.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • White Card: White Card.
