Job Summary:

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for providing on-site and remote services for Kardex Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems. This includes installing, commissioning, and servicing these systems, as well as providing customer training and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, commission, and service Kardex Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support.
  • Deliver customer product training and ensure effective communication with customers and line management.
  • Accurately report on visit-by-visit basis via documentation/call tracker.
  • Respond to customer service requests and work with minimum supervision.
  • Aid and assist fellow workers as required.
Problem Resolution:
  • Deal with all aspects of machine/unit performance and achieve a high level of first-time fix without excessive use of parts.
  • Provide first and second-line troubleshooting and removal of root cause of faults.
  • Escalate complex/unusual issues to the appropriate individual/team.
Quality/Health & Safety:
  • Ensure all personal PPE is maintained and inspected at required intervals.
  • Work within agreed quality and health and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related Technical Studies.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of experience with last 5 years in field Service, handling high Capex nature equipment.
  • Skills: Working knowledge in Electrical and IT networking, comfortable with computers and software.
  • Physical requirement: Fit for heavy lifting tasks.
  • Language: English – fluent (both spoken and written).
  • Travel: High, in-country. Possess a Car and Driver's licence.
