Procurement and Grants Management Professional

The Community Recovery function plays a vital role in providing human and social support to individuals affected by disasters.

The Long-Term Recovery and Resilience team develops and manages long-term recovery programs to support disaster-affected communities, focusing on:

  • Practical information and referrals to essential services;
  • Financial assistance distribution and coordination through procurement and grants processing;
  • Project development and funding in disaster-affected areas.

This role conducts comprehensive market analysis and planning to inform investment decisions, ensuring robust governance procedures are established and maintained. The position involves developing procurement and grant documentation, upholding high-level governance practices and adhering to legislation and departmental policies.

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in procurement and grant management processes, combined with financial acumen and excellent communication and negotiation skills. Critical analysis and problem-solving abilities, along with the capacity to escalate issues, are also essential. Experience in contract management is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities include conducting market research, developing procurement strategies, and managing grant programs. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to develop effective solutions and ensure the delivery of quality results.
