Occupational Health Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Specialist to join our team in delivering rehabilitation services to individuals recovering from injury. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to achieve meaningful outcomes and promote health and well-being.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in anatomy, physiology, and exercise science to assess function through Functional Capacity and Workplace Assessments. They will also have excellent communication skills, integrity, and a positive attitude, enabling them to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and deliver evidence-based recovery solutions.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a high level of professionalism, empathy, and technical competence. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing clients' functional capacity, providing expert advice, and developing tailored recovery plans to support their return to work.

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical and mental abilities to identify areas of improvement
  • Develop and implement personalized recovery plans to help clients achieve their goals
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of rehabilitation services

Key Qualifications:

  • University degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Exercise Physiology
  • AHPRA or ESSA accreditation
  • Full driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
