Recovery Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Recovery Support Specialist to join our team. As a valued member of the Logan Adult Wellbeing Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and inspiring consumers on their recovery journey.

About the Role :

  • You will co-develop, deliver, and evaluate education and wellbeing activities within the Adult Mental Health Services, fostering resilience and empowerment among consumers.
  • Your expertise in peer support will enable you to provide formal support, practical assistance, and tailored education to help consumers build skills for mental and physical health recovery.
  • You will mentor and guide peer workers, promoting the values and principles of peer support within the team.
  • Collaboration with NGOs, government agencies, and internal teams will be essential in enhancing consumer engagement and recovery-oriented practice.

Requirements :

  • Demonstrated experience in peer support, coupled with a deep understanding of recovery frameworks and person-centred care.
  • Ability to share your recovery story authentically, inspiring hope and self-advocacy in others.
  • Skilled in working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and community organisations.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development, supervision, and improving service quality.
