Real Estate Transaction Leader

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our real estate transactions in Australia.


About the Role

This role involves managing a team responsible for direct real estate transactions and asset management in Australia. Key responsibilities include leading the transaction life-cycle, sourcing acquisitions, evaluating and negotiating agreements, coordinating due diligence processes, and ensuring closing compliance.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Team management for direct real estate transactions and asset management in Australia.
  • Leading the full transaction life-cycle, including sourcing acquisitions, underwriting, evaluating, negotiating agreements, coordinating due diligence, and closing.
  • Executing capital market activities related to asset financing as per portfolio manager's requirements.
  • Overseeing property dispositions in line with portfolio manager guidance.
  • Driving investment strategy and execution in Australia from a market perspective, supporting team members in financial underwriting, commercial appraisal, structuring investments, transaction negotiations, and presenting to internal clients and committees.
  • Managing investments during the asset holding period by sitting on investment vehicle boards.

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in the real estate sector, preferably from institutional asset management, investment banking, private equity, or real estate development.
  • Demonstrable track record of sourcing and closing Australian real estate transactions across commercial and/or residential assets.
  • Experience in structuring real estate transactions for foreign capital investors would be beneficial.
  • Sound experience in direct real estate transactions/acquisitions and asset management.
  • Established relationships with investors that can drive new business in direct real estate mandates for Australia.
