Job Overview

The Australia Head of Real Estate Transactions/Acquisitions is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all direct real estate transactions and asset management in Australia. This includes team management, sourcing acquisitions, underwriting and evaluating the acquisition, negotiating agreements, coordinating due diligence processes, and ensuring closing requirements are met.

This role requires extensive experience in the real estate sector, preferably from institutional asset management, investment banking, private equity, or real estate development. Demonstrable track records of sourcing and closing Australian real estate transactions across commercial and/or residential assets are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Oversee the performance and growth of the direct real estate team in Australia, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Transaction Lifecycle: Lead the full transaction lifecycle, including sourcing acquisitions, underwriting, negotiating agreements, and coordinating due diligence processes.
  • Capital Market Activity: Execute all capital market activity related to financing assets in accordance with terms required by portfolio managers.
  • Property Dispositions: Execute property dispositions in line with guidance from portfolio managers of each investment account.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in the real estate sector, preferably from institutional asset management, investment banking, private equity, or real estate development.
  • Demonstrable track record of sourcing and closing Australian real estate transactions across commercial and/or residential assets.
  • Sound experience across both direct real estate transactions/acquisitions and asset management.
