We are seeking an experienced and skilled Commercial and Financial Director to join our client company, a leading engineering design, manufacturing, and supply business. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the company's commercial and financial operations, ensuring strong commercial awareness, and driving growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic leadership of all commercial and financial matters
  • Ensuring strong commercial awareness of all projects and contracts
  • Providing advice and recommendations on administering, strengthening, and de-risking contracts
  • Producing management accounts, cashflows, and forecasts
  • Involvement with procurement matters
  • Keeping the business up to date with certificates and chasing these to ensure high levels of compliance and professionalism
  • Promoting continuous commercial improvement, learning, and best practice across the whole of the company

Requirements:

  • Finance or Commercial Manager/Director leadership experience to date ideally within the construction, manufacturing, and/or engineering services markets
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience with enhancing contracts
  • A track record of enhancing a company's commercialism, finance operations, and contracts
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Hands on, driven, energetic, professional, and a team player
  • Strategic, gravitas, confident, and aspirational when it comes to leadership opportunities within growing companies
