Electrical Estimator Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of preparing accurate and competitive estimates, with a strong technical understanding of electrical systems and materials.

In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate and achievable cost estimations for large-scale electrical work.

You will also identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and profitability, and provide guidance to clients on budget considerations and project feasibility.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for utilities, HV, and industrial infrastructure projects valued between $1m – $100 million.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and achievable cost estimations for large-scale electrical work.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and profitability.
  • Pre-tender site visits.
  • Work closely with operations to develop winning proposals.
  • Review project specifications, plans, and requirements to identify materials, labour, and costs.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders within the industry, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an electrical estimator.
  • Exposure to one or more of the below categories of Electrical works and a strong technical understanding of:
    • Private High Voltage Networks
    • Low Voltage Networks
    • Outdoor Substation constructions
    • Utility Scale Renewable Energy Systems – Wind, Solar, BESS & Hybrid
    • Communications & SCADA Infrastructure
    • Overhead and Underground Electrical Systems
    • Specialist High Voltage Testing and Maintenance
    • Operation & Maintenance Contracts
  • Proficient with estimating software (Fast Track desirable).
  • Strong process orientation with excellent attention to detail, ensuring accurate cost estimates and documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
